Choice GreenPower report

Not-for-profit consumer association, Choice, has released their second annual report on GreenPower-accredited renewable energy profiling the costs of all 100 per cent GreenPower products. A valuable guide to GreenPower, how it works, accredited products, costs and other frequently asked questions, the report indicates the cheapest deals for purchasing 100 per cent GreenPower at home.

The Choice report indicates price per year for low consumption, average consumption and high energy use households. Also available is information on early termination fees, energy source and contact details.

Prices start at $4 to $5 per week or $154 per year for a low consumption household and the report has named the top four deals as Jackgreen Power, Integral Energy’s INgreen Pure for Queenslanders*, Synergy’s NaturalPower in Western Australia, and Simply Green Premium from Simply Energy.

The full report is in the May edition of Choice magazine which is available at libraries around Australia (a subscription to Choice magazine costs $78 for 12 months).

The report is also available on the Choice website and includes the ability to search and compare products. A membership to Choice online starts at $21.95 for three months and provides access to all reports.
