Six thousand Australian households and businesses have made the switch to GreenPower every week. GreenPower sales for the quarter were 349,197MWh, breaking the record for sales for the third consecutive quarter.
- Actew AGL gives green energy boost to Earth Hour
At 8.00pm on Saturday 29 March 2008, Canberra will join other cities around the world in switching off its lights for one hour – Earth Hour – to take a stand against global warming. To support the initiative, Canberra-based energy provider, ActewAGL, will purchase enough GreenPower to offset the remaining essential electricity used by Canberra during the hour.
